Final Scratch Project - purpose of my game

I am trying to make a game which takes place at a soccer field. The goal of the game is to avoid touching other characters and kick the soccer ball in and get scores. User uses the arrow keys to control the soccer ball. I will have more than one background and several sprites to make it more challenging for myself.

Scratch-Debug it 2 reflection

Overall, "Debug" was not hard. It gave the basic movements already all I need to it to find out the wrong order or add a few components in it and I would be all set. I had a little trouble with the last one because I didn't think correctly. However, I figured it out quickly. I just need to straight every movement and that is it.

Scratch-Scene

The stage could be changed multiple times which is in common with sprites. I move sprites back to the place where they start to initialize sprites in a scene. Movies and TV shows would use scene changes as well.

Scratch-Conversation

Broadcast is a message to remind the next scene. I would use Broadcast when I'm creating a conversation or a story with multiple scenes.

Scratch-Characters

"Make a Block" is to put a series of movement together. I would use "make a block" when I need that series of movement more than once.

Scratch-10 blocks challenge

This activity lets me know that there are many interesting useful components that I still don't know. This 10 blocks challenge tells me that I can create completely different scratch by using the same components if I use different combinations.

Scratch-step by step

The first scratch activity I did was pretty interesting which you can see I posted on this blog yesterday. Being able to make my little characters dancing around and changing the little cat's costume's color was surprising. I felt pretty comfortable and clear to be led step-by-step through the activity and I want to continue being led. I would like to have more structure soon like at the end of this week. I like to have some freedom after I get to know how to use most of the techniques I will be using when I'm designing my own Scratch.

Webpage design

Here are the three major problems I have for HTML. The first thing I wonder is how I can put my own webpage in publish so that everybody else could be able to see it. Now I'm just like entertain myself. It would be more fun to let others see it. The second problem is I couldn't figure out how I can move the pictures or texts to the spots I want. I don't want them all to be on the left side all the time. The third thing I would like to do is to let other people to upload their pictures on my webpage. I don't know how to do it yet. I thing I did that I think is really cool was I was able to use my own picture as a wallpaper. Adding links and pictures to the website was pretty fun too. Overall, I am able to make my little own website with some texts and pictures on. Making a website is actually pretty fun and it would be more fun without a time limit. Hope I would take my time and make more my websites in the future.

Webmaking

Here's my design for a band from South Korea called big bang. I did not really enjoy making my own web. There were so many things that i could not do like setting the picture to the size i want. Also, there were so many things to look at. It was annoying to me.

web design

I like to go the websites with short videos or pictures. Music websites are awesome too. I would like to design a website where i can post my daily photos with some short text of my mood.

Excel!!

I have been working on Excel this few days. I learned couple new things about Excel. Sorting data tools are pretty cool, it shows the data to you in the order you want. I am able to find things easier now! The most thing i like is outlining data. I used to calculate data one by one by my head. It really saves me a lot of time!

Computer program

I tried three program at code.org. The first program i did was to control and move the angry bird to the right spot. It was pretty easy at first. I got in trouble when i moved on though. There was a commander block to control the bird's movement when it faces a path, either turn left, right or go straight. It was little confusing for me. Luckily, I figured it out finally by trying over and over again. The second one was called Lightbot. It is kind of like the angry bird one. You draw the movements into the blocks to move the little robot to the right spots and light up the light. It was easy. The last thing i did was AppInventor. It was really cool but complicated. You can create all kinds of apps you can think of. The hardest part for me was to understand what those component do. I would like to see the app i made really works on the tablet or phone. That would be awesome.

Computer buying project.

The latest project in the class computer application is called computer buying. I compared Apple Macs and Samsung laptops. Personally i would choose Samsung instead of Apple Mac. Samsung has more models, safer hard drive and more features of modem. Samsung also has a lower price. These are my reasons for choosing Samsung or i should say i have no idea how to use Apple Macs.

I don't know why we are on post #4 already so here is my third post.

Class1&2

In the class computer application, we are learning the best way to use Google search. Do a searching on Google is not that simple as you think. You need to think about your key words, key words order and so on. It saves me a lot of time to search something on Google after I took the class 1. For example, you can search images on Google by color and finding text on a web page by using control F. In class 2, I learned that how to use different options of media like News and Videos to get more information. These classes are pretty useful.
